Ballet Recital May 3, 2014

Haley had her first ever ballet recital, after one session of lessons through daycare.  She looked adorable, did a great job, and had a lot of fun!!! She said she was not nervous.  Here are some pics.
I also have several videos that I will post soon.

Chicago Trip_April 2014

I had a work trip to the Chicago area, so Trey & Haley joined me the weekend before to celebrate my birthday!  We had a great time - saw a lot of sites and enjoyed the great weather on Saturday & Sunday.  (Friday was in the 40s and windy, but Sat was in the 60s and Sunday in the 70s!)
We went to both observation towers (Willis Tower and Skydeck 360), the Milenneal Park, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo, and a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field!  We also had Giordono's deep dish Chicago pizza. Haley loved having some cotton candy and singing take me out to the ballgame.  And all the animals were out at the zoo, so we had quite a show!  Once she got a good night sleep and a good breakfast, she did a great job being in the city with us.  Chicago was beautiful, with lots of park and space along Lake Michigan.  It was a great mix of big city and nature, and the people were very friendly all-around.

snow pics-2014

we've had a few rounds of good snow this year - best since 2010.
we got around 6 inches in January and a whopping 18-20 inches in one round in Feb.
the 6 inch batch made for great sledding, but the 18-20 inches was too deep to sled.
