red polka dot dress & rainy day pics

kerrie & russell sent the cutest red polka dot dress, and it fits perfectly!!! haley wore it to church today and stopped to pose. (she would not let me re-do her piggie tails into red holders, though...)

G&G in town

grandma and grandpa p were in town end of june for haley's dedication. haley had a blast with them and definitely had withdrawls once they left.  she and pawpa became BIG buddies during this trip.  she's looking forward to the next visit in august!  here are a few pics during their time in VA.

we had our friends and neighbors over for memorial day weekend and they have a son, henry, that is 1 month younger than haley.  the kids are good buddies.  we got out her kiddie pool and bought a 'willie waterpiller' sprinkler for them to run thru.  well, they were both a little freaked out by the sprinkler but we did manage to run thru it a few times with them. 

haley opted to lay in the grass for a few minutes and henry came over and gave her a KISS!  it was so cute!!!    here are a few pics.

We've been practicing all the family and classmate names and caught it on video. 
This week especially, she finally has started saying her name regularly -- she'll point to herself and say 'haw-ley", then point to me and say 'mommy' and again and again. it's really cute.  in the video, she was saying her name first, but i don't think i caught it all.  enjoy!!

new toothbrush, strawberries & other pics

I was tired of getting my finger bit, so we upgraded Haley's toothbrush to a 'big girl' elmo brush. now, every time i brush my teeth, she has to pull up a chair and brush hers!  but of course, she won't let me help. 
We planted strawberries last spring, but they never produced anything last summer.  We just left them, and to our surprise they produced a ton of strawberries this year (still small so far).  Haley was pretty excited to see them so we let her pick a few. 

Also, just a few more pictures that we've taken the last few weeks.

Her rash is getting better but she still has visible spots on her arms, legs and bottom, even after 12 days!  they crusted up, peeled but the red spots are still there.  her finger tips are peeling a little, so she's been a little anxious seeing the loose skin, but is doing ok otherwise!
